A literary injection straight to the heart of the city.

LitCrawl is a celebration of writing, writers, and ideas by over 115 novelists, poets, journalists, musicians, bloggers and comedians from all over New Zealand and overseas. It's held in twenty of Wellington's best loved venues, from tiny book stores to large public spaces.

Saturday night's main event is a literary 'crawl' featuring a series of sessions at 18 venues. Study the map, choose which sessions appeal the most, pick a path and head on down! Our only tip is to arrive early as sessions fill up quickly – if you can't get into a session because it's full, we'll have staff on hand advising you which other nearby venues have space. The 2017 programme is out in October, in the meantime, if you haven't been to LitCrawl before or would simply like to reminisce, you can view last year's programme here, to get an idea (or 2015's programme here, if you want to reminisce..)

Cost: The Saturday night LitCrawl is entry by donation. We suggest giving around $5 per session as this allows us to keep the event ambitious and free. Our Friday and Sunday night events, plus Saturday morning event, are ticketed – information on these will be available when our programme is released.
